We allow up to six hours of adventure time.  We think this is heaps of time to have a great adventure and most of it is spent doing activities. Getting changed and fitted out with a harness helmet and boots at the start takes about half an hour, as does getting changed and showering afterwards.  Getting to or from the activities site takes less than five minutes (about 15 if you choose to walk!). 

The actual time we spend out there is up to you, you may want to stay out there enjoying the place untill the last second or you may wear yourself out and finish early, no problem!  If you have a tight schedule and need to get away at a particular time, we can manage your adventure to finish when you need to.  Don't feel that you are 'missing out' if you opt for a shorter adventure, our whole concept is to be able to fit the adventure to you, and we dont think you will find a better deal in Waitomo even for a 3 hour adventure tour!

Longer, Full day adventures can be avaliable by prior arrangement.  This might be a good idea if you want to do lots of rock climbing and abseiling, as well as exploring the cave system.

We also supply you with clothing, - thermal long johns, a fleece jersy, thick socks and gumboots.  If you don't have a pair of shorts and a T-shirt that you don't mind getting damp and dirty, we can probably find something for you.

Gumboots??  We use PVC gumboots (rather than rubber) which have excellent grip on wet rock and are worn by just about everybody who goes caving in NZ.

If it's a wet day we have lightweight raincoat's to keep the rain off while we are outside.

You may have to provide your own footwear and warm clothing for smaller children.  Please inform us of the ages and weights of you children when booking as we have a limited amount of small technical equipment.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or gaurdian.
